Defne holds a Bachelor’s degree in German Language Teaching from Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Linguistics at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. She has several years of experience teaching German as a foreign language to children, teenagers and adults in a variety of settings – from private language schools to integration programs.

Her teaching is characterized by the use of diverse didactic methods, intercultural awareness, and a strong learner-centered approach. She is currently working as a language support instructor at the Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft, where she also prepares learners for official language exams.

Having learned German herself as a second language, she brings a unique understanding of the challenges language learners face and creates an engaging and supportive classroom environment.

Deborah has a Bachelor’s degree in French and German and works as a tutor at Goethe- Institut, Lagos Nigeria, running online courses for students at entry and intermediate levels. She is a certified Goethe-Institut International Examiner and works concurrently as a Language Tutor at CCIS, Calgary, Canada. 

She is very adept at building customized curricula for her students and adapts very well to various time zones. 

Her passion for the German language is clearly visible in the very engaging manner in which she relates with her students. She is very focused, organised and has a proven record of excellent success with her students.
